Dear Clauson,
In reply to your letter of 28th May, No.6832/29 29(to Roseway who is now on leave) on the subject of the
Hong Kong Military Contribution, I am writing to say that
after consulting the Treasury, we accept the terms of
your first amendment and if you can accept the words
"may no longer subsist" in place of "no longer subsists"
in the second amendment we are prepared to agree to this
also.
If you see no objection we will now write to
you officially forwarding the suggested draft as
amended.
G.L.M. Clauson Esq., O.B.E.,
Colonial Office, S.W.1.
Yours sincerely,
Kenneth
